Wervel Yoke Bundle

Wervel by Maaike van Geijn is featured in Neons & Neutrals: A Knitwear Collection Curated by Aimée Gille of La Bien Aimée!

A stunning sweater featuring a sport-weight colorwork yoke, Wervel is also a super clever pattern that guarantees fun and speed. Maaike van Geijn designed this sweater with a special idea in mind.

First, you knit the fun and interesting yoke on smaller needles with Helix/Felix held double or Merino Sport held single, then you switch to a bigger gauge to make the body and sleeves using a clever technique invented by Maaike, the Fast Forward Fix!

Since the body is knit at a worsted gauge, Maaike wanted the feel of the sweater to remain quite light. So she opted to use lofty yarns, such as Cloud Fingering by The Uncommon Thread, and La Bien Aimée Merino Bouclé.

Sizes 1-6 in the pattern all require 12 x 25g Helix/Felix minis, sizes 7-9 require 14 minis, and size 10 requires 16 minis. These bundles do not include the yarn for the body or sleeves of this sweater. You can purchase Merino Bouclé here. The colors of Merino Bouclé used in the pictured samples are listed with the corresponding color palettes below.

We are happy to also offer this yoke bundle in two brand new color palettes in Merino Sport Minis! Our Merino Sport is a perfect yarn alternative to replace Helix or Felix.
