Mosaic Embroidery Class by Tomomi Mimura
Learn Tomomi's technique of Mosaic Embroidery on a knitted swatch (or accessory).
You will receive a full kit to embroider on a knitted swatch.
Please bring a knitted swatch 15cm x 15cm or a piece of knitwear in fingering weight that you wish to embroider on (a simple bandana is ideal, but maybe you would like to try this technique on a sweater...).
Kit will contain:
- 2 needles
- Thread for eyes
- Water-soluble fabric with printed designs
- Texts (handouts/pattern)
- Yarn (approx 1,8m x10 colors) Fingering weight
- Embroidery frame
Each class attendee will receive a 10€ coupon to use at the La Bien Aimée pop-up shop on that same day.

About the teacher
Tomomi Mimura is a Japanese embroidery artist known for her innovative approach to darning embroidery. Originally from Okinawa and now based near Tokyo, she has pioneered a unique style by applying darning techniques to decorative needlework. In addition to designing and creating embroidery, Tomomi runs workshops and writes books, sharing her expertise with a wide audience. Her latest book, Tiny Friends, published by Laine Publishing, received rave reviews, and her three previous books in Japanese have sold nearly 100,000 copies.

Apprenez la technique de broderie mosaïque de Tomomi sur un échantillon de tricot (ou un accessoire). Vous recevrez un kit complet pour broder sur un échantillon de tricot. Veuillez apporter un échantillon tricoté de 15cm x 15cm ou une pièce tricotée en laine fingering sur laquelle vous souhaitez broder (un simple bandana est idéal, mais peut-être aimeriez-vous essayer cette technique sur un pull-over...).
