Le Bandana - Mangetsu by Aimée Gille
Le Bandana - Mangetsu by Aimée Gille
I am delighted to release a new Le Bandana pattern: Mangetsu (means Full Moon in Japanese). It features an all over intarsia pattern of absract colorful shapes, inspired by my travels in Asia.
I designed this bandana while I was visiting South Korea and Japan last year. I love how it becomes more colorful as you go along to end in an explosion of colors, after I visited a David Hockney exhibit in Tokyo. The difficulty level of the intarsia shapes increases as you go along as well, starting with simple rows of one or two colors, and then moving on to more colors as you reach the second half. This is the perfect project to flex those intarsia muscles!
Mangetsu uses mini skeins of Alix, Helix, Felix and Kumo. It creates a wonderfully soft bandana with a play not only of colors, but textures as well!
The pattern includes instructions and a full chart for achieving the design.
You can find bundles for it here: Le Bandana Bundle
