Twisted loosely, Genmou (meaning raw wool in Japanese) is a 3-ply, 100% merino wool yarn that is designed to be as light and soft as possible. Two thin, tightly-spun strands of merino are twisted around fluffy, untwisted carded wool. This unique construction produces an airy and extremely light yarn, while at the same time making it wavy resulting in a very smooth knit fabric.
