Join us for an immersive class at La Bien Aimée in Paris on Sunday, June 16, with Tomomi Mimura, an artist renowned for her unique blend of darning and embroidery.

Tomomi, originating from Okinawa and now based near Tokyo, will guide you through the colorful world that intertwines traditional darning with vibrant mosaic inspirations from Guell Park in Barcelona.

In this class, Tomomi Mimura teaches how to embroider cute small bears into cloth, showing you how to make lovely textiles! Your creations can be turned into drawstring bags, individual patches, or even tapestries. Tomomi's mosaic darning technique is a unique approach to embroidery that may be used on a variety of projects. You can use it to make beautiful artwork or fix clothes—the options are unlimited! Join us for a day of creation and inspiration with one of Japan's most beloved embroidery artists.

This class will be on Sunday 16 June, 11am to 2:30pm: 
11am-12:30pm - Class
12:30-1pm - lunch/snack break
1pm-2:30pm - Class

 

This class includes a yarn pack containing 5 small rolls of MIMSTER
original yarn, a printed pattern fabric, and a needle.

There'll be embroidery hoops for you to use during the class, but they are not included in the kits.

Instructions will be provided in Japanese with translations in English and French.

 

Cancellation policy
You can cancel by writing to sales and get a full refund until May 31, 4pm Paris time. If you cancel after this date, you will not get a refund. No-shows will not get a refund.

Tomomi Mimura is a Japanese embroidery artist . Originally from Okinawa and currently lives near Tokyo. She is an artist and creator of darning embroidery. Invented unique embroidery by applying darning techniques. Her first book, "Darning Embroidery" (2021), has also been translated into French.
